dubwise

Dubwise is Kingston’s Reggae Revival scene’s wednesday session organised by Yaadcore. It is an early party starting at 10 p.m. until about 1 or 2 a.m. The audience typically moves on to a next party, for instance Weddy Weddy.

Yaadcore is a laid back rasta DJ with a unique sound selection. He always wears the rasta flag as a cape so he sort of looks like a rasta superman. Expect heartical roots reggae music, a blend of traditional reggae and dub and reggae revival new roots. One of the things that makes Dubwize so unique is that lots of guest selectors and artists pass through and perform longside Yaadcore. They are veteran artists such as Fred Locks, the Lone Ranger or U Brown, and artists of the new generation such as Fantan Mojah, Dre Island, Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid or Micah Shemia.
